Welcome to my

Thank you for taking the time to visit my official website
and welcome to The University of Texas of the Permian
Basin. This website was created to provide prospective
student-athletes, Falcon fans, alumni and parents with
up-close and personal insight into the UTPB Falcons
Basketball program.
Located in the heart of West Texas, The University of
Texas of the Permian Basin is a growing and vibrant
four-year university in Odessa. UTPB is known for the
quality of education it provides its students and the
dynamic environment that enriches their studies and lives.
One of these enrichments is the very young, yet exciting
UTPB Men’s Basketball program. My goal is to make UTPB
Men’s Basketball as successful as possible by creating an
immediate tradition of winning.
During my first season, we finished 20-10 and defeated the
eventual NAIA National Champion along with Division I,
Texas State University. We just entered our 2nd year of
NCAA DII play and compete in the Heartland Conference. Our
conference is composed of schools in San Antonio, Austin,
Dallas, Laredo and also out of state in Oklahoma, Kansas
and Missouri. We also look to play a national schedule as
we have traveled to Alaska, Atlanta and Colorado during my
3-year stint as well as playing Rice, Texas State,
Louisiana Tech, UT-Pan American, University of North
Texas, UT-Arlington, and UTEP. Our players are always
looking to challenge themselves and play these Division I
opponents and other nationally ranked teams.
